Over 40 businesses are offering a discount or an offer for our new Friends of Old Town members. If you donate £8 or more to becoming a member, you will get sent a card which will enable you to instantly get money off and find discounts or deals in your favourite places.100% of donations will go into funding our annual Old Town events.

How to become a Friend of Old Town
1) Sign up for membership by clicking ‘Become a Friend’
(annual renewal every 12 months unless cancelled)
2) Have your card posted to you, or collect from our collection point (The Core)

Where do the Friends of Old Town donations go?
The Old Town Business Association is run by a volunteer committee made up of members from the Old Town business community. 100% of all fundraising goes on running our events such as the Christmas Lights Switch On and Sausage & Ale trail, for members of the Old Town community to enjoy each year.
Why are there different donation amounts?
We want to allow our Friends of Old Town to contribute at whatever level they want to. All the money the card scheme makes will go into making our events even better and so the money is always put back into Old Town. For those on a tight budget, if you are financially struggling you can get a card for free (by emailing us) and those that want to help more can donate up to £30.
Why is it a 12 month subscription?
So that you don’t have to go to any effort to continue enjoying your discounts and deals after 12 months, we have set your payment to automatically renew. However, if you do not want to renew, you can cancel your membership at any time.
What if my favourite venue isn’t part of the scheme?
If your favourite Old Town venue isn’t taking part, encourage them to do so when you are next in their venue.
Can the offers change?
Yes, venues can change their offer whenever they like, the easiest way to know what the offer is, is to go to this page to find out.
If I’m in a venue and eating with friends, can I use my card to discount the whole meal?
That is up to the venue whether they want to offer a discount to one card holder but whose meal (for example) applies to a group with non-card holders in it. We would always encourage everyone to get a card however, as the donation helps us with running our events, and then everyone benefits.
