Submit a team and enjoy a great day with our annual Old Town Golf Day that raises funds for the Old Town Business Association.
The Golf Day has been gaining momentum in recent years and this year is expected to be bigger and more successful than ever as the support from local business has been amazing.
On the day join 20 teams of 4 playing on Broome Manor Golf Course, followed by lunch, an auction and a raffle in the Guest Suite at the club.
Whether you’re a pro or just like to play, this golf day is time to come and play and have some fun.
With the help of local businesses and Friends of Old Town (who represent over 300 business in the old town area and with their recently launched Friends of Old Town discount card) there are posters promoting the Golf Day in lots of the business windows.
Old town has a great community spirit, and kindly lots of shops, bars restaurants, salons and services have contributed to the auction and raffle prizes which will pay a big part in helping us hit and hopefully smash our target.
All funds raised from the event are put towards the Old Town Christmas lights/light switch on which will take place on Sunday 27th November 2022 in Wood Street from 12pm-5pm. Its a free outdoor event celebrating Old Town businesses, achievements and local heroes. The light switch on street party includes Food and Drink Stalls, Santa's Grotto, a live stage shows and Children's activities!
The Christmas lights and light switch on event provides an exciting and festive atmosphere in the Old Town area for the whole community to enjoy, in turn helping the business that have supported the event with extra footfall over the festive period.

2026 Old Town Golf Day
This is to pay for a team to play at the 2026 Old Town Golf Day on Wednesday 9th September 2026
The entry donation is £320 per team of four (£80 deposit), which includes breakfast and lunch, plus £10 per player for Beat the Pro, nearest to the pin and longest drive. All money raised from the day goes towards the Old Town Business Association and Christmas lights event.
Team prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Individual prizes: nearest to the pin, Beat the Pro and longest drive,
The Golf Day will be a Stableford competition (2 out of 4 count on par 5s, 3 out of 4 on par 4s and all 4 balls on par 3s).
We request that each player holds an WHS Handicap. If no official handicap is held, the maximum playing handicap will be 24.
All golf buggies have been reserved for the event. If you require one, please email info@thisisoldtown.com and they will be allocated on a basis of need.

7.00am – Registration with breakfast and tea/coffee
8.00am – Shotgun start
1.30pm – Food served in the Fairways Restaurant
2.30pm – Auction, raffle prizes and prize presentation
